Corrections, questions and suggestions all go to one inbox.

Reporting a mistake
Tell us the page, the figure you think is wrong and what you think it should be. A link to a source or a photo of a tank’s label helps. We read every correction and fix confirmed errors, usually within a week.
Asking a question
We can’t diagnose sick fish by email; a local fish store or an aquatic veterinarian can examine the fish and test your water. For questions about tank sizes, stocking or the calculators, write in and we will answer if we can, and often add the answer to the site.
What we can help with
- Tank measurements. If your tank’s label or the maker’s spec sheet gives different dimensions from ours, send the brand and model. We collect these to improve the notes on each tank page.
- Calculator results that look wrong. Send the numbers you entered and the result you got. We will check the arithmetic and explain it or fix it.
- Missing species. The stocking calculator covers 100 freshwater fish. If yours is missing, tell us which one and we will add it when a reliable profile is available.
- Guide suggestions. If there is a question about tank sizes or setup you could not find answered here, we would like to hear it.
How fast we reply
Usually within a few days. Corrections to data that affects many pages, such as a tank’s dimensions, are checked against at least one more source before we change anything.
Business enquiries
Fish Tank Sizes does not sell sponsored posts or paid placements. For other business matters, use the same address.
Before you write about a sick fish
Test your water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH, and note the temperature. Most problems trace back to one of those, and the numbers are the first thing anyone helping you will ask for. Our guides on cycling, water changes and quarantine cover the most common causes.
